chicago is beautiful in the winter.

We ascended to the sky and dropped into the frozen city mere hours following a record-breaking polar vortex for Rebecca & Farooq's wedding and engagement session.

We did their engagement session after the wedding.

These two don't mind doing things in a silly order to get them done with elegance (especially if a polar vortex changes flight plans). So the day after their wedding, we set out on an adventure speeding through Chicago to get the "best spots" for their urban fairy tale engagement shoot.

We hit the mystical and gorgeous bridges Chicago Riverwalk before dancing over to the Chicago Theater, made a stop no longer than a heartbeat at the Chicago Board of Trade Building, and finished off at dazzling blue Lake Michigan.
